Well, for a price. Many magicians are invited to teach others at conferences on magic. I was recently in Atlanta teaching my comedy magic inventions. I also taught a class on how to think in a theatrical way and add those techniques to solo performances. In addition I taught a class on running a small business and a number of other ones. Eight different subjects total.
I strive to be unique in my approach to magic. There are many Magicians in Minnesota and it is necessary to stand out in some creative way. My magic show based in St Paul and Minneapolis is full of unusual and original tricks. I also present the show in a original way with lots of comedy that I came up with over the years.
I love to teach the creative process to others so I go to conventions and teach. This year so far in NYC, Atlanta and Mystic, CT.
The convention organizers also like to invite a magician who does an original act so the others gathered can see something fresh and new. So many magicians do the same 25 tricks that the other magicians are doing and people see them over and over. So I strive to be unique in presentation or method.
I recently received an order for my third DVD for professionals and the fellow had my first two. His comment, "I have your other DVDs and they are awesome! Just right for my character!!"
I am glad to be able to encourage other performers to change up their shows and add new comedy material. It is fun to be recognized by my peers.
